Russian assault with 92 drones and Banderol munitions hits 12 sites in Ukraine - Air Force

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 92 strike drones and Banderol cruise-missile munitions overnight, Ukrainian Air Force reported on Sept. 7.
The Air Force specified that the aerial assault — launched starting at 6 p.m. on Sept. 6 — comprised Shahed strike uncrewed aerial vehicles (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera drones, Parodiya-type radar decoys, and S8000 Banderol turbojet loitering cruise munitions.
Military officials reported that Russian forces launched the weapons from multiple vectors: Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
Preliminary operational reports as of 9 a.m. indicate that Ukrainian air defense neutralized 71 enemy Shahed and Gerbera drones alongside other uncrewed systems.
Direct impacts from Russian air-attack assets were confirmed across 12 locations, with falling wreckage from intercepted targets documented at one additional site.
The Air Force emphasized that defense operations remain underway, with uncrewed aerial vehicles continuing to loiter in Ukrainian airspace.
Overnight into Sept. 7, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhya with a drone, igniting a structural fire inside a commercial shopping center.
In Odesa Oblast, overnight strikes ignited fires involving two motor vehicles and dry grass. The blasts also damaged residential fencing, facades, and window glazing on two private homes.
In the Izmail district, strikes damaged a residential home while sparking blazes that consumed two passenger vehicles and an outbuilding.
