Russia launches missile strike on Kharkiv, fire breaks out
Russian missile strike targeted Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district, leading to no casualties, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram early on Sept. 24.
This report comes after his first post about a loud explosion audible in Kharkiv.
"City's Kyivskyi district is likely hit with a missile," he clarified an hour later.
"The strike hit open ground, causing a fire that is being extinguished by emergency services. No casualties reported so far."
The Russian forces launched drone attacks against Ukraine overnight on Sept. 24, with explosions reported in Poltava Oblast and air defenses operating in Kyiv Oblast.
