Russian forces launched another drone attack on the city of Odesa with Shahed strike drones, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) reported on Sept. 4.
The strike caused fires at a warehouse facility, and a cargo truck was damaged in the attack.
Emergency services reported that the fire was quickly extinguished, and no casualties were reported. More than 40 firefighters responded to the scene to contain the blaze and assess the damage.
Odesa’s Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov earlier reported explosions in the city. Ukraine’s Air Force warned of drone threats to Odesa shortly before the strikes.
Russian forces also launched ballistic missiles to attack Ukraine overnight, including reports of “high-speed targets” in Sumy Oblast.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
