Two civilians have been killed and another nine wounded as a result of Russian attacks on Kharkiv Oblast over the past 24 hours, the regional governor, Oleh Syniehubov, said in a Telegram messenger post on June 29.

According to Syniehubov, the invaders used multiple launch rocket systems and fired missiles at civilian infrastructure in the region.

Syniehubov said that at about 11 p.m., Russia's invasion forces attacked Shevchenkivskyi District. The blast from the attack shattered windows in a house, with one woman receiving shrapnel wounds and being hospitalized.

After 11 p.m., the invaders hit one of the infrastructure facilities in Slobidskyi District, which caused a fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties in that incident.

The governor added that the enemy was shelling the Izyum, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, and Bohodukhiv districts during the day.

Also, a boiler house, a hospital, a playground and residential buildings were damaged in the village of Pechenihy in Chuhuiv District.

The village of Ivashky in the Zolochiv territorial community came under artillery fire.

The Russian invaders also launched a missile strike from Ka-52 helicopters near the village of Yavirske.

Two men, aged 29 and 36, were killed and another one was injured as a result of the shelling of the village of Tsyrkuny in Kharkivskiy District. Two more people were injured in the Derhachi territorial community.

Syniehubov said that the Ukrainian army had repulsed an assault and forced the enemy to withdraw near Dementiyivka, Dovhalivka and Zalyman.

The governor added that the Ukrainian military was holding the line, including in the Izyum area, where fierce fighting continues.
