At the time of the comment, it was known that one person was killed in this building, and nine others were injured. Mayor Terekhov released a video showing the damaged residential building in a Kharkiv neighborhood. According to his data, there are 13 injured in the Kyivskyi district, including one fatality. Terekhov also noted that the building, which was hit by Russian forces in the Kyivskyi district, had been previously damaged at the beginning of the war and was almost fully repaired.

"It was almost repaired, all windows were installed, insulated, and prepared for the heating season. The enemy struck it again with a KAB," said Terekhov.

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reacted to the new Russian terrorist attack in Kharkiv, also publishing photos of the damaged building.

"Russia is terrorizing Kharkiv without impunity," the commissioner said.

“A residential area of the city of Kharkiv — a targeted strike on a residential building. Preliminarily, three people were killed and six injured. The victims of the aggressor are ordinary Ukrainian civilians! Each such case is a crime. They must all be properly documented, and the perpetrators punished! I draw the attention of the international community to this!”

A photo of one of the damaged buildings, showing a large hole caused by the KAB strike, appeared on social media earlier.

Kharkiv Mayor Terekhov reported that the floors of one of the buildings hit by KABs in the Kyivskyi district "collapsed from the eighth to the third floor."

According to governor Synehubov, the number of fatalities has risen to three, and rescue efforts are ongoing.

The Russian military launched several groups of Shahed drones towards Ukraine overnight on Sept. 23. Explosions were reported in Sumy, Kharkiv, and the Poltava municipality. Air defense systems were operating in the Kyiv and Cherkasy oblasts. As a result of massive airstrikes on Zaporizhzhya, one man was killed, and four others, including two children, were injured. In total, air defense forces destroyed 66 out of 81 Russian drones. Another 13 were lost from radar.
