Russian forces again attacked an area near the Ukrainian-Polish
border in Volyn Oblast with a jet-powered drone on Sept. 28, BBC News

Volyn regional governor Roman Romaniuk confirmed that a Russian jet-powered Shahed drone struck near the Yahodyn border crossing.
“Unfortunately, there was a strike near the border with the Republic of Poland, in the village of Staroveitove, at the Yahodyn international border crossing in Kovel district,” Romaniuk wrote in a Telegram post.
The blast wave damaged the checkpoint building at the entrance to the terminal, according to Romaniuk.
“There have been no reports of injuries or deaths,” the official said.
Shortly before the incident, Ukraine’s Air Force reported that a jet-powered drone was flying near Holovne in Volyn Oblast toward the Polish border.
Poland’s Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, known as PANSA, said the airports in Rzeszow and Lublin had suspended operations during the Russian attack on western Ukraine.
