Russian drone attack wrecks office, warehouse, and residence near Kyiv

Russian forces targeted Kyiv Oblast with strike drones overnight, damaging an office building, warehouses, and a private home in Brovary District, Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported on Aug. 18.
As of 7:30 a.m., no casualties were reported.
"The enemy attack is ongoing. We urge residents of the oblast to remain in shelters until the air raid alert is lifted," the administration stated.
Overnight into Aug. 18, Russia attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones and guided aerial bombs (KABs), striking Kyiv Oblast, Zaporizhzhya, and Zaporizhzhya Oblast. In Kyiv, an air raid alert was declared four separate times overnight due to recurring UAV threats.
Russian forces also struck the city of Izyum in Kharkiv Oblast overnight, injuring five people, including a nine-year-old boy, and damaging five private houses, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov reported.
According to the Air Force, Russian forces launched 147 UAVs across Ukraine—including Shahed strike drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya decoy drones.
As of 8:00 a.m., air defense units intercepted or suppressed 111 enemy drones.
