Dnipro high-rises, infrastructure targeted by Russian drones, says Governor
Three high-rise residential buildings were damaged in an overnight Russian drone attack on the administrative center of Dnipro, regional Governor Serhiy Lysak reported on Telegram on Jan. 27, posting photos of the aftermath across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
A fire that broke out in one of the buildings has been extinguished. The upper technical floor was damaged.
In the Samarivskyi district, the attack damaged infrastructure, three private houses and an outbuilding.
According to Lysak, air defense units of the Eastern Air Command shot down 13 drones over the oblast overnight. No casualties were reported.
Earlier in the day, Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv reported one of the largest Russian drone attacks on the western Ukrainian administrative center since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
