Ukrainian forces confirm Russian advance in Toretsk, Donetsk Oblast
Russian forces have advanced toward Toretsk in the Donetsk region and are attempting to destroy the city, spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational-Tactical Grouping Anastasia Bobovnikova said on national television on Oct. 15.
Russian forces have "completely wiped out" Toretsk and are advancing in areas where little remains, Anastasia Bobovnikova said on national television.
She noted that artillery tactics are being used to destroy the city and surrounding areas.
"It's not just that houses are gone — entire districts are gone," she emphasized. In contrast, the number of assaults has decreased near Chasiv Yar, where Russian forces suffered heavy losses.
Earlier, the DeepState project reported Russian advances in Toretsk and near several other locations, including Nevske, Vodyane, and Pryiutne.
