Seventeen wagons with ammunition and reinforcements from Russia's Khabarovsk Krai have arrived at occupied Kalanchak station in Ukraine's Kherson Oblast, the Ukrainian military's South Operational Command reported on July 5.
"As part of the logistical support of troops, 17 wagons with ammunition arrived at the Kalanchak railway station from the temporarily occupied Crimea," the command said.
"Reinforcements from the Khabarovsk Krai arrived to strengthen the manpower. But the invaders are too demoralized and are looking for an opportunity to get minor injuries in order to leave the active unit and return to the Russian Federation."
It is also reported that Ukrainian defenders conducted a number of attacks on enemy positions. The following was destroyed:
• 30 invaders;
• a T-62 tank;
• an Uragan multiple launch rocket system;
• a Msta-B howitzer;
• eight automotive vehicles;
• two ammunition warehouses.
The command added that three surface and two underwater vessels with more than 30 Kalibr missiles had been deployed in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
Ukraine's General Staff last week announced the liberation of the villages of Potiomkyne and Ivanivka in Kherson Oblast.
Earlier the Operational Command Pivden said that the Ukrainian army was gradually pushing back the Russian invaders in the south. Russian troops are being forced to set up new defensive lines.
