A critical infrastructure facility in Odesa Oblast was damaged in a missile strike on the morning of Oct. 17, Odesa Oblast Governor Maksym Marchenko said on Telegram.
According to him, it was a Kh-59 guided cruise missile.
"A facility of critical infrastructure was damaged,” he clarified.
“Fortunately, there are no victims.”
During the night night, Ukrainian troops managed to destroy six suicide drones launched by the enemy over the oblast, he added.
In turn, spokesperson for Odesa Oblast’s Military Administration Serhiy Bratchuk said on Telegram that the missile had been launched from over the Black Sea by an Su-35 fighter jet.
Russia attacked Ukrainian cities with missiles and suicide drones throughout the day on Oct. 17.
Kyiv was rocked by four explosions caused by the drones, one of which struck a high-rise residential building. Two residents are believed to remain under the rubble.
Russian troops also attacked Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy oblasts, damaging power infrastructure.
