Four killed, 16 injured in Russian night strike
Rescue operations are underway at Russian attack sites, with four dead and 16 injured, said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram on Aug. 27.
“My condolences to the victims’ families and friends,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier reports indicated that two people were killed in an attack on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih and two more died in Zaporizhzhya.
Zelenskyy noted that Russia launched over 90 air targets, including 81 Shahed drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and aeroballistic missiles.
"We will respond to this and all other strikes by Russia. Crimes against humanity cannot go unpunished," he said.
All targets aimed at Kyiv, including about 15 drones and several missiles, were destroyed, with debris falling in the Desnyanskyi and Dniprovskyi districts.
Ukraine’s Air Defense also intercepted 60 UAVs and five Kh-101 cruise missiles.
