Russian Rostov Oblast introduces power outage schedules after UAV strike on power grid

A schedule of temporary power outages for residential consumers was introduced in Rostov Oblast after a reported drone strike, Russian energy company Rosseti Yug wrote on Telegram on July 6.

They wrote that once the power shortage is eliminated, schedules will be canceled and power supply will continue as normal.

Later, Rosseti Yug reported that power supply to all consumers had been fully restored.

161.ru writes that local residents have been complaining about the lack of electricity in different parts of Rostov for two days. They noted that traffic lights are not working, and it is "impossible to heat food and turn on the air conditioner at home."

Governor of Rostov Oblast reported a drone attack on July 5. He claimed that the air attack and the fall of UAV debris caused fires on the left bank of the Don River in Rostov and in the Azov region.
