Russian double-tap strike hits Nova Poshta warehouses in Kyiv Oblast

Russian forces damaged Nova Poshta warehouses and a production plant in Svyatopetrivske, launching two follow-up strikes while emergency crews battled the blaze, Bilohorodka Village Head Anton Ovsiyenko reported on Aug. 28.
Information regarding potential casualties and injuries is now being clarified.
Emergency rescue teams from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), local firefighting brigades, police units, and municipal utility crews are actively operating at the scene to contain the damage.
He noted that approximately one hour after the initial impact, two secondary strikes hit the exact same location while firefighting efforts were underway; however, first responders managed to evacuate to safety in time.
Due to dense smoke plumes, residents of Svyatopetrivske and adjacent areas were urged to keep windows closed and avoid non-essential outdoor exposure. Traffic restrictions were also introduced on Aug. 28 along sections of Kyivska Street toward Boyarka, as well as segments of Industrialna and Chornovola streets in Svyatopetrivske.
On Aug. 27, Russian strikes across Kyiv Oblast damaged a distribution center for the Comfy electronics chain, a newly opened Fora grocery distribution facility launched on Aug. 23, a Roshen confectionery warehouse, a Budynok Igrashok toy distribution hub, and an Avrora multimarket distribution complex.
SES reported that Russian forces launched 28 strikes against Kyiv Oblast during an air raid alert lasting over 14 hours. First responders came under secondary Russian strikes 13 times during response operations, forcing crews to suspend firefighting efforts and seek emergency cover.
