Russian invading forces shelled the city of Mykolayiv and areas of the oblast, the head of Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, reported on July 9.
He noted that on July 8 enemy shelling set field stubble and dry grass on fire on the territory of the village of Dobre Bashtansky.
The enemy is constantly shelling villages in the Bereznehuvatska municipality along the demarcation line, Kim said. Thus, on the night of July 8, Bereznehuvate station, and the villages of Murakhivka and Kalynivka of the Bereznehuvatska municipality were shelled.
No casualties have been reported so far. Information about damage from the attacks is being verified.
In addition, enemy shelling of the village of Novomykolaivka of the Pervomaysk municipality was recorded on July 8, at approximately mid-day. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and stone walls were partially damaged. Grain fields, forest strips and dry land were ignited. There were no casualties.
Also, on July 8, as a result of the enemy shelling a forest fire broke out on the Kinburnska spit, and two fires occurred in a forestry area near the village of Vasylivka, in Ochakivska municipality.
It was reported that the day and night passed relatively calmly in the oblast’s Voznesensky and Pervomaysky districts in the north-west of the oblast.
