Video reveals successful Ukrainian drone strike on Russian corvette in St. Petersburg

A video showing a successful strike on the Russian Boikiy patrol corvette in Kronstadt, St. Petersburg, was shared by Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert "Madyar" Brovdi on June 3.
Units of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the corvette, a carrier of guided missile weapons.
Madyar noted that at around 6:35 a.m., the ship was located in the Veleshchinsky Dry Dock in Kronstadt, widely considered the "cradle of the Russian Navy." The Project 20380 corvette, built in 2011 and commissioned in 2013, was undergoing scheduled repairs since February 2026.
Brovdi emphasized that the vessel "has an enchanting history of travels and adventures" along NATO borders and had escorted Russia's "shadow oil fleet." He also mentioned the corvette's involvement in the "triumphant ramming of the research vessel Admiral Vladimirsky."
"How did it go back in 1921 during the bloodily suppressed sailors' uprising? 'All power to the Soviets, and not to the parties!' Metaphorically but symbolically, it is a slap in the face to the dictatorial regime," the commander added.
[Madyar referred to Kronstadt rebellion of March 1921 - an uprising by thousands of Soviet sailors, soldiers, and workers at the Kronstadt naval fortress against the Bolshevik government. Hundreds of sailors were killed in the fighting, and thousands more were summarily executed or sent to Gulags camps - ed.]
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Defense Forces struck Russian targets in St. Petersburg and Tambov Oblast overnight on June 3.
Specifically, the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal, located approximately 1,100 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, was attacked. Ukraine's Special Operations Forces clarified that it is one of the largest oil terminals on the Baltic Sea, featuring 31 reservoirs with a total capacity of 324,000 cubic meters.
Overnight and into the morning of June 3, St. Petersburg was targeted by UAVs, with reports of large-scale fires in the city, particularly near the port and the oil terminal. Local authorities confirmed strikes on "infrastructure facilities" and damage across three city districts.
The attack took place on the opening day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, where Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is scheduled to speak.
