Russian invasion forces are conducting reconnaissance in the area of ​​Krasnopillya as they continue to try to push forward towards the Donetsk Oblast city of Slovyansk, Ukraine’s General Staff said in an update posted on Facebook on June 17.

The enemy also tried to take full control of the village of Bohorodychne, the General Staff said. It said the Ukrainian military successfully repulsed the assault.

In an attempt to create conditions for the development of the offensive on Slovyansk, the Russian army is using artillery near the settlements of Dolyna, Krasnopillya, Dibrivne and Virnopillya, the General Staff added.

The invaders did not take any noteworthy actions on the Lyman axis.

On the Severodonetsk axis, the invaders are continuing to fire artillery and rockets at Ukrainian troops. An air strike was conducted on the settlement of Ustynivka. Fighting continues for complete control over the city of Severodonetsk, with Russian invasion forces are also deploying additional units of rocket artillery to this axis.

On the Bakhmut axis, the Ukrainian defenders repulsed an enemy assault towards the settlement of Zolote, forcing the occupiers to withdraw. Russian troops also tried to advance towards the settlements of Vasylivka and Berestove. The Ukrainian military returned fire and forced the invaders to flee.

No active offensive operations have been recorded on the Avdiyivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhya axes.

Enemy aircraft carried out air strikes near the settlements of New York, Avdiyivka and Pobieda.
