Russian artillery fire set four high-rise apartment buildings ablaze in Severodonetsk, the head of the Luhansk oblast, Serhiy Haidai, said on April 17.

According to Haidai, most housing in the city is already in ruins due to relentless Russian shelling.

“On the night of April 16-17, incoming artillery shells set three high-rises on one street on fire, (with) another one close by,” said Haidai.

“Emergency services arrived at the site as soon as the attack subsided; numerous apartments were on fire; we’re gathering information about casualties.”
