The Russian occupation regime in Kherson oblast is planning to launch an effort to “mobilize” and “conscript” Ukrainians into a war against their own country, Ukraine’s General Staff said on April 21.
At the same time, the invaders decided to try and halt any kind of humanitarian support of the region coming from Ukraine.
In the village of Zolota Balka, Russian troops told locals there would be no more humanitarian corridors to and from the settlement, and forbade anyone from leaving.
Talking openly about an act of terror, the Russians said they would shell Zolota Balka if their positions are fired upon by Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the General Staff claimed.
Moscow’s troops continue to sweep the area, conducting searches in people’s homes, the General Staff said.
