Several enemy missiles were shot down over the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv in the early hours of March 30, Vadym Denysenko, an adviser to the interior minister, said on the Rada television channel on March 30.
Denysenko said that the blasts heard in Kyiv and the suburbs at night and early in the morning were the work of Ukrainian air defenses.
March 30 is the 35th day of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
Following yesterday's round of peace talks in Istanbul, Turkey, the world's attention is riveted on the redeployment of Russian troops. Previously, Moscow had announced "a drastic reduction in military activity in Kyiv and Chernihiv directions."
"We can say that some units and military equipment are being redeployed to the territory of Belarus," Denysenko said.
"(But) this is more like a rotation and wound-licking than a real stop in hostilities."
Russia launched several missiles toward Ukraine on the night of March 30. Air raid sirens sounded in almost all of Ukraine’s regions. Blasts were heard in the cities of Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi. Three enemy missiles hit industrial facilities in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
