Russian drone attack damages private homes in Cherkasy Oblast, 33 UAVs intercepted
Russian mass nighttime drone attack damaged private homes, outbuildings, and vehicles in Cherkasy Oblast, local governor Ihor Taburets reported on June 9.
Ukraine’s air defense intercepted 33 Shahed drones over Oblast. No injuries were reported, though falling debris caused damage.
In the Cherkasy district, four private homes, several outbuildings, and a vehicle were damaged. A forest fire broke out, burning two hectares before being extinguished.
In the Zolotonosha district, four more homes were damaged, as well as a garage and a cafeteria building located on the grounds of a private enterprise.
The Russian forces launched drones from multiple directions overnight, along with cruise and ballistic missiles. Explosions were also reported in Kyiv, where one drone struck an office building in the Darnytskyi district.
Rivne Oblast experienced its largest drone attack since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, with city of Dubno among the primary targets. Regional authorities confirmed one person was injured.
