Russian shelling of Mykolaiv on the afternoon of Aug. 18 killed one person and injured two more, said Mayor Oleksandr Senkevich on Telegram.
The authorities are collecting information about the consequences of shelling and the affected areas.
Senkevich has said that additional details will be revealed once the information has been processed.
Mykolaiv and the region are being subjected to Russian rocket attacks on a daily basis.
The Russian military conducted a powerful shelling of Mykolaiv on the night of Aug. 17. Two districts of the city — Tsentralnyi and Korabelnyi — were targeted. 27 residential buildings were damaged.
Two of the strikes hit a building belonging to Mykolaiv’s university. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of those strikes.
