Russians install 'concrete shelters' made of styrofoam in Donetsk – video
So-called "concrete shelters" made from styrofoam are being set up to protect against shelling in Russian-occupied Donetsk, the local residents wrote on social media on Oct. 6.
Local residents shared the news on social media, even posting a video showing one of these "defensive structures" near a bus stop on Abakumova Street, next to City Hospital No. 25.
At first glance, the "shelters" appear sturdy and reliable, but a simple scratch on the surface reveals the truth — a thin layer of concrete covers plain styrofoam.
"The shelter by the bus stop," Donetsk resident complained.
"Thick, poured concrete, looks solid. But when you step inside and take a closer look, it's just Styrofoam mixed with concrete. So much for protection."
