Ukraine downs 24 of 27 Russian drones overnight

Twenty-four of 27 Shahed one-way attack drones launched from Russia’s Kursk Oblast and temporarily occupied Crimea were shot down overnight, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reported on Telegram on July 6.

The enemy drones were intercepted by anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units over Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv oblasts.

The night before, Ukrainian forces intercepted all 32 Russian-launched Shahed drones.
