Russian forces launched 187 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of attack drones at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force reported on Telegram on Feb. 27.
As of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had intercepted 165 enemy drones over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
Fourteen sites were targeted. The attack is ongoing with several Russian drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
On Feb. 26, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine’s Air Force and broader air defenses had been more effective in recent weeks after a reorganization in response to the sustained Russian air strike campaign.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
