Ukraine has adjusted its response system to Russia’s attacks on Kyiv’s critical infrastructure, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after a meeting with military officials, government members and emergency services on Oct. 1.
According to the president, all necessary protective measures must be fully implemented. The authorities have also determined how resources should be reallocated.
“It is important that Kyiv’s local authorities be prepared to make quick decisions to support people,” the president said.
Zelenskyy said the implementation of resilience plans is reviewed weekly in every region and major city. Some communities are lagging behind, however, and military commanders and government officials have been tasked with developing additional measures to improve the safety of the work.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
