Air defenses intercepted 76 of the 104 Russian Shahed-type attack and imitation drones launched at Ukraine overnight from Kursk, Orel, Smolensk, Rostov oblasts, and Primorsky Krai, Air Force reported on Telegram on Aug. 25.
The drones were shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare by aviation, air defense forces, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups over the northeastern regions of the country.
Fifteen sites across Ukraine were targeted.
Four sites reported damage from falling drone debris.
Earlier that day, Sumy Oblast Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported at least a dozen of drone strikes on the administrative center at its suburbs.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
