Russia rains nearly 400 drones, 18 missiles on Ukraine overnight
Russian forces launched 397 attack and imitation drones and fired 18 cruise and ballistic missiles at Ukraine overnight, the Air Force reported on Telegram on July 10.
Kyiv was the main target of the massive combined attack.
As of 10 a.m. EET, air defenses had shot down 164 enemy drones and suppressed 204 others with electronic warfare.
All eight Iskander-M ballistic missiles and six Kh-101 cruise missiles were intercepted.
The remaining drones and four S-300 guided missiles targeted eight sites across the country. Debris from the downed air targets damaged another 23 sites.
At least two people were killed and 16 other were injured in the attack on the capital overnight. The number of victims may increase as more people seek medical assistance.
About 400 rescuers and 90 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service (SES) are involved in emergency efforts to address the consequences of the devastating attack. Police continue to inspect damaged buildings door-to-door.
Apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, shops, cars, warehouses, offices, and several non-residential buildings were damaged in eight districts of Kyiv.
