Ukraine uses British Storm Shadow missiles in Sevastopol attack – UK official
Ukrainian forces struck a Russian landing ship and a submarine dry-docked in Sevastopol using British Storm Shadow missiles in a daring nighttime assault on Sept. 13, according to UK security sources speaking to Sky News.
During a weapons exhibition in London, Admiral Ben Key, head of the Royal Navy, fielded questions about the attack on Sevastopol.
"The Ukrainians are demonstrating what can be done through innovative thought processes and a willingness to take risks," Key said.
"As we have seen in a number of various areas, some really significant adaptations of tactics, techniques, and capabilities have been made in order to try and generate a capability advantage over the Russians, and I really applaud that."
This is the first successful attack against a Russian submarine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.
According to the occupation authorities, two shipyard employees were killed and 26 were injured.
