German stocks will be enough to supply Ukraine with ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft artillery at least until summer, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on Feb. 15, as reported by The Guardian.

Speaking to reporters in Brussels, Pistorius noted that German-made ammunition stockpiles were “quite sufficient.” According to him, it “should be enough until the summer.”

Ukrainian military commanders have on numerous occasions praised the performance of Gepards, which now play a critical role in deterring Russian combat aviation on the battlefield.

On Feb. 14, Pistorius said that Germany would resume ammo production for Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, which Ukraine receives as part of military assistance.

On Feb. 8, Germany transferred a new package of military assistance to Ukraine, which included Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and shells.
