Ukrainian forces utilized strike drones to destroy Russian fuel supplies across temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast, the 1st National Guard Corps Azov reported on Aug. 17.
"A month ago, we warned the occupiers: Azov sees their movements and will strike at the right moment," the corps noted while publishing corresponding video footage.
"However, some Russian Armed Forces units continued storing fuel in occupied Donetsk Oblast. The burning dots on the map mark facilities used for storing and supplying fuel to the Russians. A month later, these dots only exist on maps — in reality, there is now scorched earth."
Azov emphasized that they do not target civilian gas stations or attack the civilian population, but stressed that the infrastructure of the occupying forces "will be destroyed without mercy."
In April, Azov reported establishing fire control over Russian logistics routes near occupied Donetsk and published footage of UAV flights over the Donbass Arena stadium.
On June 10, Defense Forces struck critical infrastructure at the temporarily occupied Mariupol commercial port, resulting in a complete blackout that stripped Russian forces of the ability to utilize the facility.
