Ukrainian crews will “relatively soon” begin training on U.S. M1 Abrams main battle tanks, CNN reported on April 4, citing a senior U.S. security official.

“Abrams training has not yet begun…” the official said during a briefing.

“We are still working on the equipment procurement so we haven't we have not yet begun the training, but I would expect that that will happen relatively soon.”

The official added that the United States has already trained more than 7,000 Ukrainian troops since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.
