According to White House National Security spokesman John Kirby, the United States is preparing a new package of military assistance for Ukraine, which will include additional HIMARS rocket artillery launchers, Voice of America correspondent Misha Komadovsky reported via Twitter on Jan. 4.

“The United States plans to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package in the coming days and weeks, says John Kirby of the National Security Council,” Komadovsky wrote.

“He notes that the new assistance may include additional HIMARS rocket launchers,” Komadovsky wrote.

Since Summer 2022, Ukraine has received 18 HIMARS launchers from Washington, which have proved to be exceptionally effective at disrupting Russian logistics and command chains across occupied Ukrainian territory.
