Ministry of Defense’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) head, Kyrylo Budanov, shared his thoughts about what’s in store for the next two years in an interview with Radio NV on April 17.

Budanov discussed his previous prediction that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would enter Crimea in the spring, stating, “I still have some time.”

He emphasized the accuracy of his previous predictions and stated that “everything is going according to plan.”

Budanov said that the end of the war would mark the restoration of Ukraine’s borders and mark the beginning of rebuilding post-war Ukraine.

Budanov predicted on Sept. 30, 2022, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would enter Crimea by the end of Spring 2023.

In a Jan. 31 interview with The Washington Post, he expressed the need to bring Crimea back to Ukraine by summer.

In a February interview with Le Monde, he predicted Russia would withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory as Ukraine approaches the end of the war.

In early March, he predicted a decisive battle between Ukraine and Russia this spring.
