President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed businessman Oleksii Havrysh as Ukraine’s new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Norway, Presidential Office wrote on April 7.
The corresponding decree was published on the government's official website.
"Appoint Oleksii Havrysh as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway," the document read.
Oleksii Havrysh is a businessman and an expert in strategic and corporate governance in the energy sector and investment activity.
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry data indicated that he has prior experience working on issues related to Norway and is considered a specialist in energy matters.
The post had remained vacant since summer 2022, when President Zelenskyy dismissed the previous ambassador, Viacheslav Yatsiuk, after six years in office.
