●       Ukraine achieves “partial success” in Battle of Bakhmut, says NSDC secretary Danilov

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to push Russian forces back in the ongoing battle of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) head Oleksiy Danilov said on national television on May 10.

●       Many countries pushing Ukraine to start negotiations with Russia, says top security official

Many countries have begun to “inflame the situation” so that Ukraine would immediately start negotiations on the war with Russia on Moscow’s terms, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) secretary Oleksiy Danilov said on national television on May 11.

The object discovered near the Polish city of Bydgoszcz was likely a crashed cruise missile, which did not pose a serious threat to Poland's security, Polish President Andrzej Duda said on May 11.

●       U.S. State Department urges continuation of grain deal as Turkey allows for two-month extension

The U.S. State Department has called for an extension of the Black Sea Grain initiative, which allows for the export of food from Ukraine as an exemption to the Russian blockade of Ukraine’s sea coast, in a tweet posted on May 10.

●       Military expert on Storm Shadow’s capabilities

The United Kingdom has already provided Ukraine with several Storm Shadow cruise missiles pending the much-anticipated counteroffensive, Valerii Riabykh, military expert and editor at Defense Express, told NV Radio on May 11.
