The Russians are always trying to shift their crimes onto others.
What Russia is doing today is not just a war of aggression. This is the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Not metaphorically but literally.
Putin has not been able to come up with a conscious «casus belli» (a cause for the war) in order to attack Ukraine.
Many in Ukraine, and especially in the West, would like to see a different non-Putin Russia.

More than a hundred years ago, after the Bolshevik revolution, Russia stopped any attempts of modernization. It stopped its transformation into a democratic liberal state of the Western model.
Probably, no one in Ukraine and in the world has any doubts that we are currently going through times that our descendants will read about in history books.
