Russian forces advance near six villages in Donetsk Oblast – DeepState
Russian forces have advanced near six settlements in Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState monitoring group wrote on Jan. 30.
The reported advances are near Novoandriivka, Novovasylivka, Dachne, Rozlyv, Yantarnе, and Andriivka.
Analysts also noted that they are verifying potential Russian advances in the city of Chasiv Yar.
158 combat engagements took place on the frontline over the past 24 hours, with the most intense fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk sector, where Russian troops launched 72 assaults, the AFU General Staff wrote, adding that no Ukrainian positions were lost.
On Jan. 29, DeepState initially reported that Russian forces had captured the village of Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast. However, the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade spokesperson , Ivan Sekach, refuted the claim, stating that battles in the area are still ongoing.
