Russian forces targeted the northern Ukrainian city of Konotop in Sumy Oblast with Shahed drones on July 3, destroying a local infrastructure facility, Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported on Telegram.

No injuries were reported, according to preliminary data.

At around 10 a.m., Semenikhin warned residents of a Russian reconnaissance drone over the city, followed by reports of multiple Shahed drones approaching Konotop.

The mayor also posted two videos capturing the buzzing of drones overhead and the sound of explosions.

Earlier that morning, explosions were also reported in Poltava amid another wave of Russian drone attacks. One strike hit the building of the local military enlistment office (TCC and SP).

Ukraine’s Air Force said that Russian forces launched 52 Shahed drones and various decoy UAVs at targets across Ukraine overnight. Air defense units managed to shoot down 40 of them.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
