Russian forces destroyed a Nova Poshta sorting terminal in Poltava, the Ukrainian delivery company said on the evening of Friday, July 31.
Employees were in shelters at the time of the attack and were not injured, the company said.
“Work is underway to deal with the consequences. Detailed information about the damaged cargo will be established shortly,” Nova Poshta said.
The company will compensate customers for the declared value of shipments destroyed in the attack.
“Nova Poshta has already activated backup logistics routes to minimize potential delivery delays,” the company added.
Russian forces also attacked a Nova Poshta logistics terminal in the Dniprovskyi district for the fifth time on July 30, causing a fire at the facility.
Nova Poshta previously reported that its Poltava sorting terminal had been struck during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on July 30.
The company said it would compensate customers for the declared value of all damaged shipments and provide them with further information about the reimbursement process.
