Russian strike injures 11, including two children

Russian forces attacked Cherkasy overnight on May 24, injuring 11 people, including two children, the Cherkasy Oblast Military Administration said, Suspilne reported.
A fire broke out in apartments from the fifth to the ninth floors after the Russian strike, Cherkasy Oblast Governor Ihor Taburets told journalists.
“The fire has already been extinguished. There are 11 injured, two of them children. Most received medical assistance at the scene. Emergency crews took three victims to hospital,” he said.
In the Zolotonosha district, a cruise missile damaged an inactive farm. No injuries were reported in that incident, Taburets said.
Ukrainian air defense units and mobile fire groups neutralized eight Russian missiles and 22 drones over Cherkasy Oblast, Taburets added.
