Earlier reports said a Russian attack overnight on Oct. 15 left parts of Rivne and the surrounding district without electricity. Koval said energy workers were working to restore power.

On Oct. 14, Russian forces attacked a residential area in Rivne with a drone, injuring eight people, including a child. The strike set four vehicles and the roof of a three-story building on fire and damaged a neighboring residential building.
