Russia fails to break through Ukraine's defense near Konstantynopil
The Russian invaders continue their assaults on AFU positions in the Novopavlivka sector of Donetsk Oblast, but their latest attacks were repelled, Ukraine’s Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group reported on May 20.
The military wrote in its report that Russian forces attempted to breach Ukraine's defense near the settlements of Konstantynopil and Bohatyr.
Defense Forces continue to hold the line and eliminate numerically superior enemy forces.
In the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions (Donetsk Oblast), Russian troops launched assaults toward Bila Hora, Diliivka, Romanivka, Petrivka, as well as within Chasiv Yar and Toretsk. However, these attempts were also unsuccessful, the military reported.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Kotlyne, Vdale, Novomykolaivka, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Novopavlivka, Andriivka, Troitske, and Novosergiivka — all without success.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
