The occupiers have almost completely swallowed Myrnohrad, and the Ukrainian military considers it "inexpedient" to hold positions on the northern outskirts of the city, soldiers fighting on the Pokrovsk axis told NV's sister outlet Ukrainska Pravda on April 20.

Russian troops are accumulating infantry and equipment in Donetsk Oblast's Myrnohrad to completely capture the city and its outskirts, DeepState reported on April 15. The invaders are also advancing toward Hryshyne from Pokrovsk.

Russia wants to capture key settlements on the Pokrovsk axis by the end of April, but they "do not have capabilities to do this," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on April 10.

He referred to Druzhkivka, Kostyantynivka, and Pokrovsk.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
