Russian damages DTEK facility in Odesa Oblast; 3,000 homes without power

The Russian military struck an energy facility operated by DTEK
utility company in Odesa Oblast on May 14, cutting power to about 3,000 homes,
the company and regional officials said.
“On the evening of May 14 the enemy struck Odesa,” DTEK said, adding that the damage is significant and will take time to repair.
“After the shelling our crews have already restored power to 12,000 families. Another 3,000 homes remain without power.”
Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper said a drone attack damaged an energy facility in Bilhorod‑Dnistrovskyi district. He said there were no casualties.
Kiper said the attack left 32 settlements without power and more than 15,000 customers in total without electricity. As of 9 p.m., crews had restored power to 12,000 customers, he said. Critical infrastructure sites were switched to backup power.
Kiper earlier said that Russia attacked the Odesa region
overnight into May 14 in two waves of drone strikes, injuring two people. He
said port infrastructure was hit, and that equipment, property and freight
vehicles were damaged; resulting fires were extinguished by emergency services.
