Massive overnight Russian strike on Odesa damages Nova Linia hypermarket, hospital and school

Two people were injured in Odesa Oblast during a massive Russian attack overnight, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported on Sept. 24.
Russian forces struck a shopping center that had previously been hit, sparking a fire. At another location, a two-story private home caught fire, injuring two people.
In Odesa, the attack damaged a 10-story nonresidential building and caused a fire. The roof of a seven-story city hospital was also damaged, while windows were shattered at an educational institution and four residential buildings. Three vehicles were also damaged.
Dumska reported that a Nova Liniia hypermarket and a gymnasium were also damaged in Odesa. Serhii Lysak, head of the city military administration, confirmed damage to a medical facility and a school.
In the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, windows were shattered in three private homes, the State Emergency Service reported.
Odesa and Kyiv oblasts were the main targets of Russia’s overnight attack on Sept. 24, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. Russia launched Iskander and Zircon missiles and 282 drones at Ukraine, while air defenses intercepted seven missiles and 219 drones.
