Russian forces have advanced near Rozlyv and in the area of Kostiantynopil, both located in Donetsk Oblast, DeepState monitoring group wrote on April 18.
"The enemy advanced near Rozlyv and in Kostiantynopil," the analysts wrote.
On April 10, Presidential Office Deputy Head Pavlo Palisa warned that Russian troops might intensify their offensive operations on several fronts toward the end of April and into May.
According to Palisa, the enemy is likely to focus their efforts on the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast.
On April 8, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that over the past year, Russian forces lost more than five tank divisions and thousands of soldiers in their attempt to capture Pokrovsk.
Despite heavy losses, Russian troops continue their efforts to encircle the city from both east and west, reflecting Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s determination to seize all of Ukraine by military force if diplomatic means fail.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
