Ukraine doubled the number of mid-range strikes at distances of more than 20 kilometers in April compared with March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on May 5.

The number of such strikes was four times higher than in February, Zelenskyy said.

“The number of mid-range strikes has also increased significantly,” the president said. “Hits at distances of more than 20 kilometers are now twice as high as in March and four times as high as in February. And there will be more. This is a priority area.”

Zelenskyy also stressed the need to expand the number of robotic missions on the battlefield.

Ground robotic systems carried out more than 10,000 logistics and evacuation missions in April, but that is still far from enough given the scale of the front, he said.

Ukraine will continue ramping up production of all types of drones and robotic systems, Zelenskyy said.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
