Ukraine strikes Russian ammunition depot and six command posts

Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck several Russian military targets on Aug. 17 and overnight on Aug. 17-18, including an ammunition depot in Karlivka, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine’s General Staff said.
Ukrainian forces also struck five Russian drone command posts near:
- Ustinka, Belgorod Oblast, Russia;
- Zhuravlevka, Belgorod Oblast, Russia;
- Novoivanivka, Zaporizhzhya Oblast;
- Nove, Zaporizhzhya Oblast;
- Mali Shcherbaky, Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
A Russian command post near Terny in Donetsk Oblast was also hit.
“Work against the enemy’s key military targets continues,” the General Staff said.
The strikes came amid a broader wave of attacks on Russian military and infrastructure targets.
Telegram monitoring channel Crimean Wind earlier reported that drones had attacked Sevastopol’s main electrical substation in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Two strikes were reported near the substation, while electricity was briefly disrupted.
Russian authorities also reported a massive drone attack on Moscow and Moscow Oblast overnight.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed that 620 drones were heading toward the Moscow region between Monday evening and 5 a.m. Tuesday, with 180 allegedly destroyed over the region.
