Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces disrupted a Russian offensive in the Donetsk direction and destroyed enemy armored vehicles, the military reported on Jan. 14.
Fighters of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, known as Magyar Birds, struck Russian tanks and armored vehicles, preventing Russian troops from launching an assault toward Ukrainian defensive positions.
The military highlighted that Russian troops are making significant efforts to preserve their armored vehicles by limiting their use on the battlefield and covering them with metal structures and camouflage nets.
The published video shows the destruction of at least two tanks, an MT-LB armored personnel carrier, and an infantry fighting vehicle.
Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Russian forces lost six tanks and three armored combat vehicles over the past day.
On Jan. 12, Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces reported that Russian troops had intensified attempts to infiltrate northern parts of Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast using assault groups north of the railway line.
Meanwhile, DeepState analysts said Russian forces have advanced near the settlements of Shandryholove and Svyato-Pokrovske in Donetsk Oblast.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
